Based in Poland, Eastern Spirit Garage isn't the most prolific custom bike shop — but the time and care put into its builds put quality before quantity. Commissioned by a local collector, this BMW R80 came to Eastern Spirit in boxes, with the customer giving boss Sylwester free rein to create a cafe racer from the parts. What Sylwester came up with is an inspired design that combines the old and new into something unique. The sleek fairings and tank are formed from aluminum by hand on an English wheel and can quickly and easily be removed with simple tools. The tank doubles as a storage compartment and covers most of the wiring harness and a lithium-ion battery. Rather than a digital cluster, Sylwester instead used a simple Daytona analog tach, a theme that's repeated with LED bar-mounted turn signals and brake lights, along with a classic round headlight. An impressive piece of handwork, this R80 puts a new spin on the custom airhead genre.
