GM Defense Electric Military Concept Vehicle

The US military announced that it intends to go net zero by 2050, with EVs being an obvious part of that strategy. During the Modern Day Marine 2023 exposition in Washington, D.C., GM Defense brought a Hummer EV-based military vehicle to convince the Department of Defense GM has what it needs. The Electric Military Concept Vehicle uses the same Ultimate platform used by the Hummer, with a 200kWh battery powering three electric motors making a total of 1,000 horsepower. Features not available on the showroom model include Fox dampers, larger 37-inch beadlock tires, and heavy-duty brakes. The bodywork is radically different, with an open-air design, roll cage, and machine gun mounts. For charging on the go, GM installed a 12kW diesel generator onboard.
