Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Or Deco Watch
The Reverso was born in 1931 specifically for polo, a swiveling rectangular case that let players flip the dial face-down and keep playing. Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds 'Or Deco' in 18K white gold keeps that mechanism intact in a case measuring roughly 46mm x 28mm, just under 8mm thick, and runs the same hand-wound Calibre 822 that powered the very first model. The dial is finely grained silvery-gray, matte and softly textured; the Milanese mesh bracelet is woven link by link in matching 18K white gold, polished to a high sheen that puts the two surfaces in deliberate contrast. Hours, minutes, and small seconds at 6 o'clock are the only complications, backed by a 42-hour power reserve. The solid caseback, shielded by the swiveling 50-component case construction, is left blank for engraving, lacquering, or enameling at the owner's discretion. Part of the 'Or Deco' collection that also runs to gem-set Cocktail models in ruby, emerald, and sapphire, this white gold edition is limited to 200 pieces and is the most restrained thing in the lineup.
