Longines Legend Diver 59 Watch

The original 1959 Longines ref. 7042 introduced what divers actually needed: two screw-down crowns, one for winding, one to rotate an internal bidirectional bezel without breaking the seal. That Super-Compressor architecture made it a tool watch in the truest sense, and the new Legend Diver 59 is as close to that blueprint as Longines has come since. The 42mm stainless steel case runs 12.85mm thick with lugs trimmed 2.5mm shorter than its predecessors, bringing lug-to-lug to 50.1mm, so it wears closer to a 39 on the wrist. The grained black no-date dial carries raised Arabic numerals and elongated indexes in old-radium-toned Super-LumiNova, with rhodium-plated sandblasted hands to match. Inside, the Caliber L888.6 automatic runs a silicon balance spring with anti-magnetic shielding rated well beyond the ISO 764 threshold, a 72-hour power reserve, and full COSC chronometer certification. Water resistance is rated to 984 feet. Ships on a Milanese mesh bracelet with tool-free micro-adjustment; a black rubber dive strap is included.
