Most motoring accidents result in bent fenders. Occasionally tragedy. In the case of this Jaguar XK140, it was luck. Following a 1957 accident the car was sent to noted Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti who retooled the body with a silhouette, not unlike the later Aston Martin DB5. The car also caught a stroke of luck when a C-Type race car was retired, and its engine fitted to this machine. Important enough for the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Division to purchase the vehicle, it's now being offered by the same owners in hopes they will return it to its former glory.
