McQueen's Heuer Monaco Le Mans Watch

As dedicated to racing as to acting, McQueen spent one of his first paychecks on a Porsche 356A Speedster in 1958, placed second at the 12 Hours of Sebring, and built his Le Mans character around Jo Siffert, the Swiss driver who pulled Heuer into motorsport sponsorship in the 1960s. Property Master Don Nunley sourced nine Monacos directly from Jack Heuer for the 1971 film, and this Reference 1133B is the one Nunley kept, describing it as the watch worn by McQueen most often throughout production. The blue dial runs on a Cal. 11 automatic with 20 jewels in a 46 x 40mm stainless steel case with solid case back, still fitted with its original Corfam strap and Heuer "sun" buckle, worn through at a single hole. Never polished, with scratches in the crystal and dents in the case. The lockbox Nunley left the set with, labeled "1970 LE MANS" and containing over 400 documents from his personal archive, comes with it.
