Nike x Hyperice Air Zoom Hyperslide
Nike and Hyperice's first recovery collaboration was a full compression boot built to wrap the whole foot in heat. Their second is a slide simple enough to wear around the house. At the center of the Air Zoom Hyperslide is a magnetic, removable pod built into the strap, delivering three levels of heat up to 117°F and three levels of vibration up to 100 Hz in 15-minute cycles, controlled from the pod itself or over Bluetooth through the Hyperice app. Getting that vibration to reach the foot meant rethinking the sole: Nike's Air Zoom units are normally pressurized to 12-20 PSI for responsive cushioning, but this one runs at just 5 PSI so the airbag carries the pod's vibrations through instead of absorbing them. The tradeoff favors recovery over performance, a slide meant for the hours after training rather than the training itself. It launches later this year in black and beige.
