Porsche Mission S Vision Concept Car
In 1953, Porsche photographed its first super sports car, the mid-engine 550 Spyder, on a pier in Queens, New York. Porsche returned to that same location to reveal the Mission S Vision, a concept for a new mid-engine super sports car that will sit above the 911. The Mission S has a wide and low silhouette, with torpedo-shaped fenders and a movable rear wing built into the body. Round headlights nod to the 911, and the flat nose comes from the GT1 race car. The cooling layout is inspired by the radiator fan on the 917 race car. The cabin trades a central screen for a retractable smartphone holder, with five round gauges behind the wheel and a layout that changes with the drive mode.
