Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport

Porsche's very first sports cars were built in a converted sawmill in the Austrian Alps, and the new GT3 Bergsport references the brand's alpine origins. Limited to 100 units and sold only in Austria, France, Italy, and Switzerland, it pairs the standard 911 GT3's Lightweight Package and manual six-speed gearbox with a bespoke Valleygreenmetallic paint, developed specifically for this car, that shifts from deep alpine green to a gold sparkle in direct sunlight. Aluminum wheels replace the Lightweight Package's usual magnesium set, finished in a two-tone White Gold and Ceramica meant to evoke snow-capped peaks, framing orange brake calipers that reference alpenglow, the reddish light that colors mountain summits at sunrise and sunset. A checkered-flag motif on the front trunk lid nods to the 908 Bergspyder, Porsche's dedicated hill-climb race car from the 1960s, and the interior carries the same mountain theme into a cross-stitched pattern on the dashboard and doors that forms the silhouette of mountain peaks. Porsche will debut the car at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland, a 4.5-mile course that climbs nearly 1,400 feet through 76 corners.
