PRS Silver Sky Defender Collection
John Mayer has owned the same Arles Blue Land Rover Defender for nearly two decades, and that specific truck became the starting point for PRS's new Silver Sky Defender collection, down to the identical color match. The line splits into two tiers: four classic Defender colors, Arles Blue, Willow Green, Portofino Red, and Sandglow Yellow, on the US-made Silver Sky, limited to 500 guitars per color, and four more contemporary shades, Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey, and Woolstone Green, on the SE Silver Sky, sold without a production cap but only during a set ordering period. Every guitar gets a matching painted headstock, and the SE models bring black pickguards and control knobs to the Silver Sky line for the very first time. Each comes with its own neck plate carrying the color name and Defender branding, and a dedicated case, a hard case for the US-made Silver Sky and a gig bag for the SE.
