Ricoh GR IV 30th Anniversary Edition Camera

The Ricoh GR1 hit shelves in October 1996, a film compact that became the seed of one of photography's most obsessed-over cult cameras, and this autumn Ricoh is marking the 30th anniversary with a special edition built on the current GR IV. The run is capped at 6,000 units worldwide. Changes are largely aesthetic: the shutter release and rear buttons are finished in a paint color pulled from the original GR1, a diamond-cut ring cap called the GN-3 comes attached out of the box, and the power-off screen gets a design made specifically for the anniversary. Ricoh is bundling in a metal hot shoe cover, a finger strap, and a pin badge set that references past GR models, with the hot shoe cover and strap also sold separately for owners of other GR bodies. Everything underneath, the sensor, lens, and body, stays identical to the standard GR IV.
