Rivian R3 Electric Crossover

Rivian's announcement of the R2 SUV came with a surprise — the R3 crossover. The R3 shares the same all-new platform as the R2, including the structural battery, but with a five-inch shorter wheelbase. The shorter, sportier-looking R3 has smaller overall dimensions than the R2, with a sloping roofline at the rear for a more athletic look. Like the R2, two battery sizes will be available, both with over 300 miles of range and a max 0-60 time of three seconds. The top model will be the R3X, which will presumably get the triple-motor powertrain and better on and off-road performance. Rivian didn't offer any details on the R3's release, other than that it will come sometime after the launch of the R2.
