A tribute to all the rotten turds around the world who woke up Christmas morning, only to find that they didn't get what they wanted.

To kick off the launch of Uncrate Issue 05 and the return of our favorite not-smartphone, the Punkt MP02, we've partnered with Punkt, Grand Classics, and Mark Ronson to host a VIP screening of 1983's The King of Comedy, staring Robert De Niro. Personally selected by Mark Ronson, the film is a timely choice given its direct influence on this month's release of Joker, and as De Niro also appears in Joker as homage to his character in The King of Comedy. On October 16th at the Public Arts venue, at New York's Public Hotel, a select group of guests and friends of Mark Ronson, Punkt, Grand Classics, and Uncrate gathered for the screening and cocktails. Punkt, maker's of minimalist technology, chose to partner with Grand Classics on this screening due the increasingly frustrating effect of smartphones on the film community. Often used to snap pictures that leak a film's plot details well before release, smartphones have become a drag on sets around the world. Punkt's MP02 phone, a camera-less work of art, fixes not only this issue but allows anyone to disconnect from the distracting while remaining connected via a good old fashioned phone call or basic text message. Animoji's need not apply.

A tiny projector embedded in the right arm of the glasses shoots light into a hologram embedded in the lens — resulting in a display that appears to float at arm's length in front you. With Focals you can stay on top of your day with Messaging, Calendar, Uber, Spotify, Alexa, and more. Focals are available in a variety of styles and colors and support prescriptions from -4.00 to +2.00.

Settle your brains for a long winter's nap. Ryan Gosling, Jim Carrey, and Eva Mendes reenact a whiskey-infused version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
The 19-69 brand was birthed in an effort to bottle counterculture movements from the past. Over the course of two years, the brand went through an exhaustive creative process with artisans in Scandinavia, France, and Italy before launching their fragrances in Paris. Each scent is inspired by an era, culture, or setting and the music and trends that help shape them and brought to life in the names, packaging, and the fragrances themselves.
Since their entry into the jeans market, Mott & Bow have changed the way men shop for denim. They use artisan techniques to make their jeans, with fabric sourced from some of the best mills in the world without cutting corners. And their Home Try-On Program is still the easiest way to get the best jeans and the best fit. Now, Mott & Bow is expanding their line of slim fit jeans again, taking the slightly stretchy, never too tight, nor too loose jeans and adding black and gray colorways. The new colors go with almost anything, and just like the rest of the line they're soft, comfortable, and will never look dated.
