Caterpillar, Walking

Stop-motion master PES has garnered over three million YouTube subscribers and an Oscar nomination with his whimsical animations. Now, the artist is releasing his very first NFT. Titled Caterpillar, Walking, the stop-motion film reimagines Eadweard Muybridge's pioneering locomotion studies with a charming insect in the 12 positions. Each caterpillar is 3D-printed, hand-painted, and animated in stop-motion to create the illusion of elasticity. A part of the FITC Reflections 2021 collection, buyers will get the chance to own a 4000 x 3560-pixel infinite video loop and a piece of digital film history. The sale will take place on KnownOrigin today at 12:00 PT.
