Despite being a newcomer as far as Defenders go, this SUV has been subjected to Alvarez's frame-off restoration, having been stripped down to the last bolt and rebuilt. That applies to the engine, axles, and transfer case, with new springs, dampers, and a larger turbo installed on the 2.4-liter Td4 four-cylinder motor. The chassis has been sprayed with rust-prevention coatings, and new leather upholstery and color-keyed interior components greet passengers.
