Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear Concept

Ford CEO Jim Farley teased a high-performance F-150 Lightning in 2023. A year later, Ford finally revealed the entire truck as the Lightning Switchgear. Created in collaboration with drift racer Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his RTR Vehicles tuning company, the Lightning Switchgear rolls on 37-inch Nitto all-terrain tires and custom carbon fiber bodywork. Ford increased the track with new front wishbones and suspension travel with Fox 3-inch diameter dampers. Custom front and rear bumpers increase approach and departure angles, with a multilink rear suspension setup and larger antiroll bars. Steel rock rails and a front skid plate protect against off-road terrain. The Lightning Switchgear will make its public debut at the 2024 King of Hammers off-road racing event in Johnson Valley, California.
