Maturo 308 Rally Car
Giuliano Michelotto built just 11 Ferrari 308 GTBs to Group 4 rally specification, and that small run produced one of the stranger footnotes in motorsport history. The 11 cars took roughly 30 victories in national and European championships between 1979 and 1982, with Jean-Claude Andruet winning the Tour de France Automobile twice and finishing second at the 1982 Tour de Corse in a Pioneer-liveried 308 against Renault's works turbos, giving Ferrari its only WRC podium. Maturo's 308 Rally is a modern continuation of that program, built on a fully stripped and re-welded chassis with 150-plus additional spot welds, FIA roll cage, and the wide-body Michelotto flares. The engine is rebuilt to Group 4 spec with a dry sump, forged pistons, and 300-plus horsepower. The drivetrain runs F1-derived driveshafts rated to 40 degrees of twist before deformation, with front and rear plated LSDs. The dog-box takes shifts without a clutch under load. Suspension is 4-way adjustable, co-developed with Tractive on reverse-engineered Group B sway arms. The interior is rebuilt to 1976 Group 4 spec throughout. Only 11 originals were made; don't expect Maturo's number to be much higher.
