Mazda CX-50 SUV
Mazda is bringing the CX-50 into its lineup in 2022 as a more rugged, slightly larger version of the current CX-5 crossover. The CX-50 is built on the same unibody platform as the Mazda3 and CX-30, with a taller ride height and more rugged aesthetic. That comes from black cladding around the wheels and black grille, along with burly wheels wearing all-terrain tires. Mazda didn't give powertrain specifics, but expect naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants of the 2.5-liter inline-four found in the CX-5. The CX-50 will begin production in 2022 at Mazda and Toyota's jointly-operated plant in Alabama.
