Morgan Midsummer Coupé
Pininfarina has spent decades defining the shape of Ferraris, and the original Midsummer roadster marked the design house's first-ever collaboration with Morgan. One customer liked it enough to ask for a roof, and that request turned into the Midsummer Coupé, a fixed-head version limited to just nine client commissions plus the prototype shown here. Teak runs through the cabin on the gear selector and sun visors, tying back to the wood that's defined Morgan's interiors for generations. Despite the new roof and structure, the car weighs only 2.5 percent more than a Supersport fitted with a hardtop. Morgan hasn't released performance figures, but the brand's standard powertrain is a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six making 402 horsepower. The prototype heads to the Louwman Collection in The Hague before client builds begin.
