The Macallan Reach Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Macallan was founded in 1824, so when they announce their oldest expression yet, it's a momentous event. Named The Reach, the scotch whisky was drawn from a single cask that's been maturing for the past 81 years, giving it a smooth, yet incredibly complex profile with flavors of toffee, ginger, nutmeg, charred pineapple, pecan, and woodsmoke. It arrives in a mouth-blown glass decanter, held aloft by a bronze statue from Scottish sculptor Saskia Robinson that features three hands: one for the distillery workers of 1940 who crafted it, one for the chairman who led the company during that period, and one for Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell who selected the special cask. Limited to just 288 bottles at 41.6% ABV.
