1988 Cizeta-Moroder V16T Prototype
Giorgio Moroder, the producer behind three Oscars and four Grammys, didn't just fund a supercar in the late 1980s, he composed an original song to debut it: chassis 001 of the Cizeta-Moroder V16T rolled out in Los Angeles to a track literally titled "A Car Is Born." It's the only example ever badged with the Moroder name, since he and Lamborghini engineer Claudio Zampolli split before the nine production cars were built, and those dropped the connection entirely. Marcelo Gandini, the designer behind the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, drew the body, and the transverse-mounted V16 underneath borrowed its layout from the Miura as well, just with sixteen cylinders instead of twelve. Moroder kept the car until 2022, and it's since been through a full mechanical restoration and returned to the Pebble Beach Concours circuit. It now comes with a one-of-one NFT built around a Moroder-composed EP, a 3D scan, and a digital rendering.
