Klipschorn 80th Anniversary Limited Edition Speaker
Paul W. Klipsch patented the corner-horn loudspeaker in Hope, Arkansas in 1946, and the Klipschorn has been in continuous production ever since, a distinction no other speaker can claim. For the 80th anniversary, Klipsch isn't updating it so much as returning to the original: the limited edition reverts from the current three-way configuration back to the two-way design of the earliest models, pairing a 15-inch K-33-E woofer with a 4-inch compression driver inherited from the Klipsch Jubilee, fed through a new K-5-K high-frequency horn and an active DSP crossover. The cabinet is finished in book-matched Tigerwood veneer with brass inlays tracing the folded horn profile and a sandcast aluminum horn baffle. Hand-built in Hope, each pair ships with a 180-gram vinyl pressing sourced from Paul Klipsch's own 1950s demonstration recordings, some of which have never been commercially released. Limited to 280 pairs worldwide, available through authorized Heritage dealers.
