McIntosh MA2375 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier
Vacuum tubes amplify audio signals through heated glass rather than transistors, producing a warmth and dimensionality that solid-state gear has spent 60 years trying to replicate, and after more than a decade away, McIntosh is back to building with them. The MA2375 runs 12 tubes across two sections: four KT88 output tubes and four 12AT7 driver tubes in the power amp, two 12AX7A and two 12AT7 tubes in the preamp, delivering 75 watts per channel through Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers that allow it to drive 4, 8, or 16-ohm speakers without compromise. The polished stainless steel chassis carries McIntosh's signature dual blue watt meters, with the tube array sitting exposed above the deck. Beyond that, a configurable phono stage for both Moving Coil and Moving Magnet cartridges, a 5-band analog equalizer, and a High Drive headphone output round out the inputs. Twelve tubes is a lot to manage, which is why McIntosh built in continuous current monitoring that adjusts in real time to keep them running at safe levels.
