La Squadra AGTZ Twin Tail

Alpine contested the 1968 and 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans with the A220, a mid-engine prototype based on the previous A210 and A211. The results were underwhelming and would lead to the company refocusing its efforts on rallying. from 1970 onward. The A220 is now getting a rebirth of sorts thanks to automotive magazine La Squadra and Zagato with the AGZT Twin Tail. The main conceit of the car is a removable tail section that adds a longtail Le Mans prototype look, like the original A220. 19 examples of the street-legal grand tourer will be constructed, with just over half the build slots spoken for.
