1998 RUF Project Dragon Sports Car

RUF set aside an unused Porsche 911 body shell when it stopped building the CTR2, its wild twin-turbo version, and the shell sat for nearly three decades. Then a collector brought an idea to Alois Ruf, and they enlisted Tony Hatter, designer of the 993-generation 911, to shape the car. The result is Project Dragon, a one-off tribute to the 580-horsepower CTR2 Sport, with more power and modern parts. Its air-cooled flat-six makes 621 horsepower, and the carbon-fiber body wears Dragon Fire Orange, a color made only for this car and repeated on the gauge faces. Delivered to its original owner in 2024, it shows 759 miles and is now up for auction without reserve.
